Algeria officially announced, on Saturday, that they will host a ministerial meeting of neighboring States to Libya, to be held next Monday, with the aim of finding a political solution to the crisis of the country, with the participation of the Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri.

The ministerial meeting of the Group of Neighboring Countries of Libya will be held on Monday in Algeria, where Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, Chad and Niger announced their agreement to attend.

The meeting is also expected to be attended by representatives of the UN Secretary General and the African Union.

The meeting is limited to the border countries directly concerned with the stability of Libya, and aims at helping the country to find a peaceful political solution to its crisis.

The Algerian President, Abdel Majid Taboun, announced lately last month that his country will do anything to help Libya to solve their problems, during his meeting with the President of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed El-Minfi, who made an official visit to Algeria lasted two days.

Taboun stated that Algeria considers that “the final solution to the crisis in kindred Libya is elections that give more legitimacy to the National Council and the President.”

Ohjn the 4th  of January 2011, the Libyan authorities abolished the tax on entry into their territory that had been imposed on Algerians.
